Simple ingredients you most likely have at home

I bet you have all these ingredients at home because ain’t nothing fancy required to bake this delicious bread. No butter, sour cream or even baking powder. Flour, sugar, egg (just one), milk, oil, baking soda and bananas. You could add Vanilla and Cinnamon if you wish to enhance the flavor of the bread but the bananas are already more than enough!

Easy Recipe to Follow Through

I’m telling you, it’s so easy, you’re gonna rejoice! First, you’re going to smash those bananas, ideally three. If you only have two that’s okay too. Just make sure the bananas are really ripped. Once you smashed those bananas, then you add sugar, one egg, oil, milk and vanilla extract. Mix everything until it’s well incorporated then add the flour, salt and baking soda through a fine-mesh strainer.. Finish your batter with a good mix and pour it in a greased loaf pan. Pop it in the preheated 325 oven for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Tips on how to make the BEST Banana Bread

Use very ripe bananas. Bananas have to be ripe because that’s when they are the sweetest and creamiest, perfect for the bread. You know they are ripe when they are brown and soft to the touch. If you don’t have ripe bananas on hand, don’t worry. Simply place the bananas on baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake them in a preheated 300° oven until they turn black. This should take between 10 to 30 minutes depending on your bananas.

Use room temperature ingredients. Using room temperature eggs and milk helps your batter mix evenly resulting in a better overall soft texture to your banana bread.

Always check your bread with a toothpick. Adjust the time according to your oven. Insert a toothpick in the middle of the bread to make sure it’s throughly baked. This avoid under or over baking.

Simple tweaks can make a difference. You can use regular sugar, skip the vanilla extract, use vegetable oil and you will still have a delicious loaf. However, you can elevate your loaf by using brown sugar, a drop of vanilla extract and even using coconut oil or butter.
