This is the skin care morning routine you need when you want to "depuff" and energize your skin.
Wether you get a good night of sleep or you don't, sometimes you will find your face to be puffed in the morning when you wake up. I know I see it sometimes, my cheeks and eyes are all swollen and I look like Gigglypuff (it's a Pokemon, google it and you see what I mean). Even though I'm fully rested, I have this look that that I need another night of rest (and maybe I do lol).
There are many tools out there and other practices that are supposed to target that puffiness and dullness issues, such as soaking your face in an ice bath (yikes) or doing deep massage tissues (but you need to practice to get a hand of that).
Well, some of these practices can be high cost or demand much of your time and dedication and that can be challenging when your are "mommering" around. However, even without all the fanciness, you can still get the result of a morning fresh face.
It's important to always remember that the body and the mind are intertwined, and if you want your face to express energy and vitality, it has to also come from the inside. I've noticed that I don't need much anymore to feel motivated in the morning as long as I do those things everyday.
I've already mentioned how working out or stretching in the morning can be so beneficial, it wakes my body up, it removes all the cranks and stiffness that can limit movement (in reality and in life) and helps me feel whole new, everyday.
After that, a drink of a tall glass of water. Your body needs water first thing in the morning when you wake up. I can actually feel all that liquid making its way down to my stomach, its amazing! It's important to give your body hydration before anything else. Your body feels revitalized almost immediately and guess what, your skin feels it too! Your skin need internal and external hydration.
This morning routine is so easy and will have a positive impact in your daily life. However, if you don't I got this quick tip for you that would surely brighten up your day! If you have a healthy morning routine, or you are just getting started or you just want to quick tip to wake your skin up, well I got you!
This quick tip doesn't actually requires much, some type of oil and a jade roller.
All you need is some type of oil your face can tolerate, meaning that you can apply and it doesn't break you out. Avocado, Jojoba, almond or Argan oil are great choices. For my special tip, I decide to use an oil cleanser do depuff and detox at the same time. Oil cleansers are wonderful to have in your skin care arsenal. Oil cleansers remove makeup and impurities by massaging it in the skin and then lather and foams when its rinsed off.
I use it do depuff because although I do have very dry skin, I don't necessarily like applying oil on my face like I used to. Even if I did want to just apply oil to massage my face, I would have to wash it off later which adds more steps to a beauty routine and I'm not too very fond of that. I like to keep things simple.
The other thing you need is a jade roller. There are a lot of discussion regarding the jade roller. Some people question its benefits and consider it to be just a viral product that doesn't do much. Other people swear by it and have before and after pictures to back up their statements.
I can't neither confirm or deny its benefit or people experiences, however I do want to state that I like the way it feel when the jade rolls on my skin. Maybe its the cold feeling or maybe it's the movement, but it has helped me feel like my skin wakes up when I use it. I wouldn't say it's the secret fountain to youth, but it's a cool tool to have when you just need that little extra to feel and look energized.
For this quick tip you would first apply the oil or the cleansing oil on your face. I would suggest to not wash your face yet. The oil cleanser will wash off on its own after you use the jade roller and if you are using a face oil then I would suggest just washing your face off after like you usually do.
Now after you applied the oil or cleansing oil to your face, I like to do gentle stroke with my fingers first. I use my fingers gently bend like a claw, I press on my skin gently but firmly and massage in an upward movement.
You would not need to follow some intricate movement to revitalize your morning face. From my experience, what mattered the most was I rolled my roller upward where I needed the depuffing. I was naturally rolling the contour of my face, my cheeks and my cheekbones, my forehead and under my eyes. If you don't have a jade roller, no problem, just use your finger and apply a gentle pressure in parts of your face in the same places I just mentioned.
Once you finish with the massaging, wash your face as usual and follow up with a moisturizer and a sunscreen. For added bonus, you could also follow up with a
